Chris is a travel writer who has been documenting his adventures for ages, but he says that his style changed a bit once his children grew up and left the nest. Now, he and his wife cruise all over the globe on nearly every cruise line and document it in their blog Chris Cruises. You can become acquainted with many different destinations and ships without ever leaving the comfort of your home (but you’re going to want to).

After 28 years of marriage, raising children, and climbing the ladder, Chuck and Lori decided to quit their day jobs and become world travelers. They love to watch bullfights in Spain, sip wine in Italy, and make the most of every moment with each other. Inka is a granny who travels in style and comfort, and she wants to encourage other female baby boomers to get out and do the same! She has always had a love for traveling but hadn’t always had the time to do it. So, one day, she sold her law firm and her home and began traveling the world. A few years ago, Lynne and Tim decided that living in one place for the rest of their lives wasn’t enough for them. They sold their house and started renting small apartments in various cities across the world living like a local in each of them for a short period of time. If you’re like these two and want to see the world but not from the perspective of a tourist, their blog Home Free Adventures is here to show you that it is indeed possible.

Adventures of Empty Nesters follows Suzanne and Craig who found that after their kids left the house, they weren’t content with sitting on the couch and letting their lives drift by. Jonathan Look took an early retirement in 2011, sold everything he owned, and decided to spend his days seeing the world. He came to this conclusion after realizing that he wanted adventure and to experience more than “stuff.” He offers up helpful advice like how to handle electronics while you’re traveling, and he even talks about how he rescued nine dogs from Thailand and flew them to their new homes in Canada! His blog is appropriately titled Life Part 2.

If you’re looking for a top-notch travel blog, look no further than this one. More Time to Travel is written by Irene Levine, who is an award-winning journalist, author, and blogger. This pair decided to hit the road after thinking, “I can’t believe how much time has passed! Why not go now?” With the children grown, they had more time than ever to see the world, so they got out and did it!

The Gypsy Nester isn’t your typical travel blog. David and Veronica seek out destinations that are a little off the beaten path and document them in an attempt to give their readers that experience as well. Their goal is to be gypsy nesters instead of empty nesters because, after the hard work of raising kids, they felt they deserved to treat themselves. They’re totally right!
