The name of this resort makes it an immediate must-have entry on this list: "Hedonism II: Because the original hedonism wasn't good enough." Apparently the resort's reputation was beyond risqué at one point. While they've tried to tone it down some, the resort is still described as "a sandbox for your inner child," and visitors are encouraged to talk to strangers.
If you are looking for the sexiest vacation experience possible, Hedonism II is the place to be. Rates start as low as $199 per person per night. And you'll also be able to fulfill your other appetites, while your there as you bite into some delicious lobster tail and chocolate cake. Gourmet dining is available 20 hours a day, and there's numerous activities to enjoy including a sauna, a nightclub and several bars.
Wreck Beach is Canada's most famous clothing-optional beach. It's actually a remote segment of Acadia Beach. The beach is protected and maintained by the Wreck Beach Preservation Society, who handle everything from cleanup to etiquette to making sure that the guests feel safe. The beach adjoins the University of British Columbia, and it's not uncommon to find students and professors alike relaxing here.
Wreck Beach is technically the largest beach in North America. It's a popular spot for visitors, bringing in over $60 million each year. Much of the beach has been preserved in its natural state, so you can be at one with nature. There's no photography allowed without permission, and staring isn't allowed either. So in other words, no perverts.
Of course, Texas' premiere naturist beach was going to be near Austin. Where else could it be? Hippie Hollow is a clothing-optional park tucked away in the Texas Hill Country region. The park includes a beach on Lake Travis and sees an annual boat party by the Hill Country Nudists.
Hippie Hollow offers a beautiful rocky shoreline and a lush forest, but there is no camping allowed. It's the only clothing-optional public park in the state of Texas, and you can be sure that no lewd behavior is acceptable. In addition to swimming in the lake, hiking trails are available as well.
This was actually the world's first naturist holiday resort, and it's a big one. Founded by Christiane and Albert Lecocq (yes, seriously), the sprawling resort has some 1,000 privately-owned residences, as well as spots for RVs and campsites. CHM Montalivet has sports facilities, restaurants, a theater, a library, and of course, the beach.
It should be noted that this resort is very exclusive. The resort is family-oriented, and you will need a membership to the International Naturist Federation to stay here. The resort opened in 1950, and the International Naturist Federation was founded there just three years later. And don't worry, you won't need to know how to speak French as 55% of guests are not even French.
Valalta Naturist Camp
Valalta Naturist Camp is a beautiful resort on the Adriatic Sea boasting a marina, gorgeous pools and beaches, and a wide variety of sports facilities. The resort's Boarding Restaurant has a buffet breakfast and dinner specializing in seafood and fresh meat, and there's even an eco-friendly onsite brewery.
But don't get undressed just yet. This camping resort is not open year-round. It usually opens in the spring, around late April. But once its figurative doors open, you can enjoy gourmet food, sports activities, tanning on the beach and sailing among other things. Entertainment is available for people of all ages.

Joschi Schwarz and Monika Werner teach a variety of classes centered around Vinyasa Yoga. Both coed and men's classes are offered in clothed and naked settings. They describe the nudity as an important component, however, both in terms of seeing and understanding what your body is doing as you exercise, and in terms of being comfortable with yourself.

Tomaree National Park, Australia
Located near One Mile, New South Wales, Samurai Beach is unique among nudist areas in Australia. It's more than just a beach; it's a bit of a camp, one that embraces newcomers but also some people who have been visiting for upwards of 20 years.
All of Australia's natural beauty is here in full force—the water is pristine, the sand is a gorgeous white, and the company is as convivial as it gets. The annual nude beach carnival draws 200 to 300 people from across the country. if you want to be naked in Australia, there are few better places.
Red Rock Beach
Stinson Beach, California
California has had a rocky relationship with public nudity, lately, as formerly-friendly San Francisco has begun to crack down. That said, there are still plenty of clothing-optional beaches, even though the weather is a little cool for it. Just south of Stinson Beach is Red Rock Beach.
Of all of the purportedly clothing-optional beaches in the area, Red Rock is one of the most established from a legal standpoint and, consequently, one of the least harrassed. Red Rock Beach has steep trails, however, so do be careful and probably put on a pair of shows for those.
Hidden Beach Resort
Riviera Maya, Mexico
Hidden Beach Resort is a clothing-optional, upscale, adult resort. There are 42 suites across two buildings, including swim-up suites with direct access to the artificial river running through the property. The all-inclusive accommodations extend to dining at the El Dorado resort next door, though you will have to put on some clothes if you're planning on venturing over.
Hidden Beach Resort is open for weddings and there are plenty of things to do while you are there. Coconut painting, water volleyball, tequila tasting, and underwater workouts are just some of the things you can do while you are there.
Land O' Lakes, Florida
Caliente actually has clothing-optional resorts in both Tampa and in the Dominican Republic. From massages and fitness classes at the spa to "like-minded adults" at the lagoon pools, Caliente Resorts promises an experience unlike any other in the United States. Drinking is the main activity here but you can expect good food as well.
Because of the nature of the resort—being a for-profit nudist resort in the United States—you do have to purchase a club membership to attend. You can purchase a daily membership or you can purchase an annual membership. Prices are not cheap, and you can expect to pay more if you are a man and going alone.
Indian Hills Nudist Park
As home to the famous Mardi Gras celebration and all the shenanigans that go on during that time, you’d think that Louisiana would have a much more relaxed policy on nudity. However, there’s really only one place where place where you can take it all off and that’s the Indian Hills Nudist Park in Slidell, Louisiana.
This resort is only open to adults 18 and over. Nudity is actually required in the pool area and clubhouse. Photography is not allowed and you must even keep a sticker over your camera’s cellphone. Fees are $30 daily for one person or $50 for couples. Overnight camping is available as well, starting at just $10 per day.
South Beach in Miami, Florida has been known to have a topless guest or two sunbathing on the sands but if you are looking for a beach where you can freely express yourself, then that place is Haulover Beach in Miami, Florida. Note, however, that it is clothing-optional so there may be some times when your nudity is out of place.
The beach is also family-friendly, so don’t be up to anything lewd while you are there – and that really goes for most nude beaches. Overall, you’ll find Haulover Beach to be a good time if you keep your eyes on the scenery. The beach offers white sands and clear waters and it’s in a somewhat secluded area, so you may find some peace and quiet there.
Germany is no stranger to public nudity. Nudism in Germany is referred to as Freikörperkultur which just means Free Body Culture. Germans in general, however, are definitely not shy about their bodies, so you won’t find nudity restricted to its beaches. They have it in cities as well.
Wiesbaden, Germany is one such nude-friendly place. It is home to the Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme bathhouse where you can take a dip in a gorgeous bathing palace where you won’t be needing any swimsuit. It pays homage to the Roman bathhouses of long ago and it's in the style of an ancient thermal spring.
Phuket just says “f*** it” when it comes to putting on clothes. There are two nude beaches in the area, including Nui Beach and Mai Khao Beach, the latter of which is about five miles long, making it a prime area for walking around in your birthday suit. It’s actually the longest nude beach in the country.
Nui Beach in Phuket is in a secluded area but it's still a very much public beach. It’s just 15 minutes from the Lemon Tree Naturist Resort, making it a popular choice for nudists. The road to the beach is a gravel road, so you might want to take a vehicle with four-wheel-drive to get there.
Spain as a whole may very well be one of the most nude-friendly countries on earth. In Spain, nudity is actually a constitutional right. It is technically legal to be naked anywhere – not only beaches. However, nudity always has a time and place in the culture there, so just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
There are still social norms to consider, after all. And if nobody is walking around the grocery store naked, people are going to be looking at you strangely if you are for no reason. Formentera, Spain is one area where nudity is perfectly normal as several beaches there are officially designated as nude beaches.
Cap d’Agde, France
Already, France is well-known for its nude beaches, so it should come as no surprise you’ll find plenty of places with relaxed nudity policies. But one of the most unique places for nudists to visit would have to be Cap d’Agde. It is often referred to as the Naked City, because there, being nude is perfectly normal.
Its peak tourist season is the summer when it pulls in tens of thousands of tourists. Travelers can often be found at the costal village resort, totally naked, and not just while sunbathing. People shop naked, walk their dogs naked and drive their cars naked too. It’s truly a haven for those who hate clothes.
Gymno-Vita Park, LLC
Pell City, Alabama
The Gymno-Vita Park, LLC in Pell City, Alabama is a family-friendly nudist resort where all the nakeds can roam free amongst their people. Only families and couples are welcome at the resort to discourage any lewd individuals. There are 100 acres for people to explore amongst the forest and there are facilities available.
The lodge is over 5,000 square feet and inside you’ll find plenty of activities to enjoy such as pool, ping-pong, table games and much more. In the Pink Champagne Ballroom, you can enjoy dinner and dancing. Bath houses, hiking trails, a swimming pool and campsites are all available for guests to enjoy and rooms cost just $50 per night. The resort is kept clean and has a friendly staff.
Hangin’ Loose is a clothing option retreat and botanical gardens beloved by nudists everywhere. If you are looking to get away from the crowds and the more touristy aspects of a Hawaiian vacation, you won’t find much better places to be than Hangin’ Loose. The exotic atmosphere and sounds of nature offer no better escape.
Sunbathing, swimming, and chilling in the hot tub are just a few of the regular activities at Hangin’ Loose, and while you can do them at any beach, you can’t do them naked. Hawaii offers a few different places where you can go nude but Hangin’ Loose is the only spot where you can stay nude overnight.
The Oakwood Club in Stacy, Minnesota is just a little over a half hour away from Minneapolis. It has been a family-friendly, clothing option resort since 1942. It’s a popular spot for camping, whether you have a tent or an RV. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, ice and firewood. You’ll also have access to a swimming pool and games.
It should be noted, however, that this place is closed for the winter in case you were looking for a place to be naked and freezing cold. Visitors are welcome from April 15 to October 15. Activities include volleyball, dancing, karaoke, wine tasting, body painting, and a Halloween party in October.
Magnuson Swim Beach
The city of Seattle as a whole doesn’t actually have any laws prohibiting being naked in public, but that doesn’t mean everyone, or even anyone, usually is. However, there are several parks in the area where naked sunbathing does occur. Magnuson Swim Beach is one such park where being naked won’t be out of place.
Magnuson Swim Beach is a popular summer spot with picnic areas and plenty of room for your pets to roam. The site, of course, offers swimming and is a popular spot among college students. The sand, like most beaches in the area is not the best for laying on, as it has a coarse texture.
Technically it isn’t against the law to be nude in Philly but that doesn’t mean people are constantly walking around in the buff either. And while you can be naked on public streets, it’s important to note that you can’t be doing anything lewd – and yes that includes twerking. Sorry.
Philly is home to the Annual Naked Bike Ride which has thousands of attendees each year. And its exactly as it sounds – naked people riding bikes. And the goal is certainly nothing sexy either. It’s a protest meant to promote cycling and body positivity. And if you don’t feel comfortable going completely nude yourself, you can still participate, covering up as much or as little as you want.
Tiergarten is a lush, beautiful park that’s basically to Berlin, what Central Park is to New York City. It’s about 520 acres in size and it’s the most popular park in the area. But unlike New York City, there are designated areas for Germans to go nude in the park and some do just that.
The origins of the park date back to 1527 but obviously a lot has changed in the area since then. It started off as a hunting ground and in the early 1700s the area would be turned into a “pleasure garden.” In WWII, much of the garden was destroyed including various statues and then it was restored.
English Garden in Munich is an internationally themed park. The scenic park is not just England-themed but also has a Japanese tea house and a Chinese pagoda. There’s even a Greek temple. If you want to explore the park and all it has to offer, set aside at least a few hours.
Like Tiergarten, you can go fully naked in the English Garden, but again, only in certain areas. Sexual activity is absolutely prohibited and you can’t do drugs either. In other areas of the park you can grab a beer and enjoy a pint along with some good food.
Tower Isle, Jamaica and Ocho Rios, Jamaica
There are a few different Couples resorts in Jamaica where clothing is optional. One of the most popular is Couples Tower Isle, an adults-only all-inclusive resort where romance blossoms and guests can get away from the burdens of work – and clothing. This nude private island is the ideal spot for topless sunbathing.
Then, there’s the Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Located in a secluded cove, this is the place to go for some quiet time with your significant other. Each room has a private and fully-furnished balcony. The all-inclusive resort offers breathtaking views, top-shelf liquor and two beaches that are rarely crowded.
Pirates Cove Beach
San Luis Obispo, California
Pirates Cove Beach in San Luis Obispo is a hidden beach spot where you’ll be free to undress, but you’ll first have quite a hike on your hands to get there. There’s a couple different trails you can take to get there but the walk is certainly worth it. The main cave is actually a tunnel that offers an exquisite view of San Luis Bay.
It’s a popular spot with locals, but not so much with tourists, but if you enjoy cave exploration the area is brim with sea caves. The name of the cove comes from its history as a place where liquor was smuggled on ships headed to Port San Luis Harbor.
Hot Springs, Arkansas
Buckstaff Bathhouse is a spa built on a hot spring in Arkansas. If you want an all-natural spa experience, you’ll find it here. Their hydrothermal spas are free of additives and chemicals. Take a dip into some thermal mineral water and rejuvenate your body with no bathing suit required.
The staff is well-trained and is currently under contract with the Department of Interior, National Park Services. Swedish massages are available for as low as $45 and a deluxe bath package is little over $100. If you are looking for a place to be naked and also pamper yourself, you’ll love this spa.
Stark OMG! A Naturist Escape
Stark OMG! A Naturist Escape in Denver is the ultimate campsite for hippies. The campsite is clothing optional all-year round anywhere in the camp but there are spa areas, sunbathing areas and a sauna where nudity is more prevalent. Social nudity is encouraged only, so no sexual activity here folks.
The campsite is friendly to those with indulge in the Herb and there are plenty of hiking trails to exercise your legs a bit. Amenities such as toilets, showers, kitchen tables and Wi-Fi are available. The camp is easily accessible by vehicle and you are allowed up to six.
Jerry Johnson Hot Springs
Jerry Johnson Hot Springs in Kooskia, Idaho is the most popular hot springs in the state. There are a total of three hot springs in the area and you can soak in any one of them. However, one of them is only available until the late summer. The other two are available at any time.
The natural environment is a must for those looking for an escape and make no mistake, nudity is perfectly normal here. On the downside, it does get a bit crowded at times, so expect an audience. There’s also the slight scent of sulfur. Insect activity is moderate as well.
Sandy Hook, New Jersey
There’s only one place to get naked in New Jersey (besides the privacy of your own home) and its Gunnison Beach in Sandy Hook. It’s the only legal clothing optional beach in the entire state and its not in the middle of nowhere. There are even lifeguards present at the beach.
Additionally, there are bathrooms and food trucks in the area so that you can grab some grub in the buff too. But be aware of signage and don’t wander into areas where nudity is not allowed, or you might be going home in handcuffs and that’s never a good time.
