30 Rudest American Cities

It’s expected that traffic is going to be terrible during rush hour. With that many people either on their way to do something they don’t want to do or heading home after a long day, tensions are sure to be high. But short of those miserable few hours Monday through Friday, we expect the world to be a fairly civil place. We don’t want to get honked at, glared at or ignored. We expect our waiters and waitresses to smile. We want people to be willing to stop and ask for directions. And we definitely don’t want to get cut off in traffic.

These cities didn’t get that memo. Everyone in them is a rude jerk. Well, that’s actually not true. At all. We like to think that most of the citizens of these cities are actually nice people just going about their days — just like us. These cities do seem to have gotten the short end of the stick, though. They seem to have more than the average amount of people who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe it’s just the weather or the road construction or the local sports team, but whatever the reason, these cities are known for being the rudest bunch around.
