Unique Experiences at Universal Studios Orlando

The best time to travel to Universal Studios is in the spring or early summer when there are not as many people who visit the park. Twenty-five rides await you as you arrive at the park. There are several rides for children and adults who are looking for a thrill. Areas like Seuss Landing and Marvel Hero Island feature rides that have a child in mind. The Caro-Seuss-el is a carousel with characters from the beloved books. Ride across the stars with E.T. or explore with the minions from Despicable Me.

If kiddie rides aren’t your cup of tea, then try the thrill rides that are made more for teenagers and adults. One of the most popular rides is The Incredible Hulk. This green monster takes you through twists and turns that will make you feel like changing your personality by the time you get off the ride. Harry Potter is another popular area, or you can duel with friends and family while riding the Dragon Challenge. Doctor Doom’s Freefall launches you into the air about 150 feet, and then you plummet to the ground, suddenly stopping right before your feet reach the pavement. If you like getting wet, then you will enjoy the numerous water rides such as Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls.

Those who don’t like the rides or who might not be able to ride can enjoy one of the numerous shows that Universal Studios offers. The Universal Superstar Parade is filled with favorite children’s characters like SpongeBob and Dora, as well as other Nickelodeon favorites. Music lovers will enjoy the famous Blue Man Group who performs at Universal CityWalk. Terminator 2 in 3D is a show that is guaranteed to leave you speechless with the special effects and movements. Hard Rock Live is a show that has music from all genres and decades. This is a favorite with adults.

After a day of rides and shows, you might want to get a bite to eat or do a little shopping. There are numerous restaurants and snack bars through all of the parks in Universal Studios. Choose from over 50 restaurants including those that specialize in making children smile. There are also places that serve alcoholic beverages and those that have live entertainment. When it comes to shopping, you will find over 60 shops that sell everything from clothes to toys.

The best way to explore Universal Studios is by taking about two days to walk through the area. You can also look online to find which areas you definitely want to see and which ones you can afford to pass up until the next visit. Make sure you have a map with you because there are some areas that can get confusing, but there is always someone available to get you back on track.
