If a trip to Orlando is in the future, then you should make SeaWorld one of the stops on your itinerary. The best time of the year to go is in the spring when the weather is not too hot and there are not as many people traveling. This theme park is large, and the best way to navigate it is to start at the beginning and work your way through. Try to find a map online to see which areas of the park you want to see and which ones you know won’t interest you. This you will save time and energy wasted meandering.
While at SeaWorld, there are several close-up encounters that you can experience. These are the most popular attractions at the park; you might want to visit these areas first before the lines become too long. The dolphins and penguins are probably the best animals to see. You can pet the dolphins and stand right next to the adorable penguins. This is something that children will enjoy, but you need to make sure there is adult supervision at all times. There are also rides that children will enjoy such as the Sea Carousel, with its brightly painted sea animals, and the Swishy Fishies. Shamu’s Happy Harbor is a children’s fun zone with nets to climb and tunnels to crawl through.
There are plenty of attractions for teenagers to enjoy at SeaWorld as well. Several roller coasters and thrill rides await you. The Wild Arctic Ride takes you on an experience like none other. It is a flight simulator that puts you in the seat of a helicopter that flies over the Arctic. With moving seats and brilliant pictures and sounds, this is something that will keep teens coming back for more. Kraken and Manta are roller coasters that are monsters to look at, much less ride. Manta is a newer coaster that gives you the feeling of being a giant stingray. While on the coaster, you will glide along the tracks and skim the water below.
Many of the attractions at SeaWorld are family oriented. You can view whales as they jump out of the water and perform tricks, or view the park from high in the air on the Sky Tower. End the day with a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants in the park. Dine With Shamu and Seaport Pizza are two places that offer favorites like hamburgers, fries, and pizza by the slice or as a whole. There are also places to shop to get aquatic souvenirs.
