Vamar Vallarta is a great all inclusive resort for budget travelers to Puerto Vallarta.

The Top All-Inclusive Resorts in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is known for its nightlife and its beautiful cobblestoned city center. If you're going here, odds are you're going to want to venture into town for entertainment, but there is also a healthy scene of all-inclusive resorts ready to cater to your every whim. Enjoy the beautiful Mexican Pacific Coast as you sip bottomless cocktails. Just watch out for vendors on the beach. They can be a little aggressive

Now Amber Puerto Vallarta

Now Amber Puerto Vallarta has straight-up trademarked the name "Unlimited-Luxury," which they use liberally when talking about their all-inclusive package. It is pretty broad, covering not only the large, poshly-appointed suites with private terraces or balconies, but also the six restaurants, coffee shop, and five bars, as well as 24-hour room service and a comped minibar. The bars are pretty diverse, including an outdoor theater bar and a nightclub that looks like it's from a 1950s Disney version of Arabian Nights. You can also dine at the nearby Secrets, Dreams, and Sunset resorts. There's a supervised kids' activity club and a teens' club, as well. Guests routinely call out the friendliness and cleanliness of the place, which sounds like a basic resort requirement but surprisingly isn't the case everywhere. When booking, they will hit you up for the VIP experience, so look out for that. You won't really need it with everything else they offer.

Velas Vallarta

Iguanas and peacocks roam the grounds, accentuating the almost surreal beauty of Velas Vallarta and its view of the Sierra Madre Mountains. A garden courtyard holds three pools, a cascading waterfall, and more. Suites vary wildly from "budget-conscious" to "opulent," but you should find yourself well taken care of, whatever your accommodations. Three restaurants, weekly fiestas, a swim-up bar, and a lobby bar offer plenty of food options, and from the lazy river to the tennis courts, there's plenty to do. Scuba lessons are extra, as are the fees for golfing, but the course is very close, and you get a discount through the resort.

Vamar Vallarta

Vamar Vallarta is one of the more budget-conscious options in Puerta Vallarta. Part of the reason is that it's near, rather than on, the beach itself, and the furnishings are a little older. But Vamar Vallarta excels everywhere else. Two restaurants (one with a buffet in addition to themed dinners) and a snack bar offer food, with drinks available at any of the three bars, one of which stays open until 1:00 a.m. The pools are nice, and the beach is gorgeous, if a little public. And while a lot of resorts offer destination weddings, many reviewers recommend Vamar Vallarta, specifically. This is definitely a budget choice, but depending on your circumstances, it may be worth weighing against your other options.

Casa Velas

Casa Velas is an 80-room, adults-only resort in one of Puerto Vallarta's nicest neighborhoods. It's one of Conde Naste Traveller's 15 best hotels in Mexico, and Expedia has named it one of the top hotels in the world. Emiliano, the Mexican restaurant, a poolside bar, and the Ocean Club represent the sum of the dining optionswhich is expected for a resort this smallbut they're very well-regarded. If you want, you can dine at their nearby sister resort. It's close to the airport, which means a little bit of noise, but it's private, which also means you won't be fighting beach vendors all day. Don't forget that since the resort is adults-only, you won't be dealing with kids at all. Your all-inclusive package also includes 24-hour suite service, a minibar, and non-motorized watersports, but if you want you can add some unconventional extras. Special trips include a skydiving getaway and a bungee jumping package.
