The Paramount Hotel Experience in New York City

Nestled in the heart of New York’s world famous theater district, the Paramount hotel is a Broadway lover’s dream. Opened in 1928 and designed by theater architect Thomas W. Lamb, the French Renaissance-styled hotel blends perfectly with the myriad of entertainment venues which surround it. Don’t let the classic façade fool you however; the Paramount is filled with modern amenities. Concierge service, WiFi access, workout facilities, meeting rooms, and on-site parking are just a few of the many services available.

The Home of Broadway

Fans of Broadway will revel in the rich history and ideal location of this New York City landmark. Serving as the official host hotel of the annual Tony awards, the Paramount has a deep connection to the theater community. Located in Times Square, the Paramount is within walking distance of some of the most popular shows on Broadway. Nearby subway and bus lines allow easy access to other parts of the city, and transportation assistance is available through the hotel’s concierge.

World-Class Dining

Before heading to the show, start your evening with gourmet dining at the Paramount Bar and Grill. In addition to the standard dinner menu, the restaurant offers a three course prix-fixe menu daily between 5:00 and 6:30 PM. Other offerings include breakfast from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m., lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 pm, and dinner from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. The bar offers local craft beer, wine by the glass, and a selection of exclusive cocktails between 5:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Nightlife

If you are in the mood for a show but don’t feel like leaving the hotel, the answer lies beneath your feet. Housed in the hotel’s basement is the Diamond Horseshoe nightclub. Opened in 1938, this historic club served as the inspiration for the 1945 movie musical “Diamond Horseshoe” starring Betty Grable. The club has undergone a $20 million renovation, and now serves as the home for “Queen of the Night.” This eclectic show describes itself as a fusion of “theater, cuisine, magic, fashion & nightlife.” (Reservations and appropriate attire are required.)

Accommodations

When it is time to finally settle in for the night, the pillow top mattresses, down comforter and pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets, and surprisingly quiet rooms will transport you from the hustle and bustle outside, into your own private oasis. The hotel’s recently remodeled rooms offer all of the modern luxuries including a high definition flat screen TV, iPod docking station, and high speed internet access. Room sizes range from the Broadway Petite which features a single twin bed, up to multi-roomed suites.

Before heading home, you will want to stop by the “Free and the Brave” in the hotel’s lobby. This store features a revolving line of merchandise, and you never know what unique items you might find.

The location, ambiance, and world class service make this pet-friendly hotel a perfect fit for individuals, couples, families, and business travelers.
