When checking out the different hotels that are available throughout the city of Miami, you are going to find there are literally hundreds of different options out there. From two star hotels all the way up to the very finest, the southern Florida city is home to some of the largest fleets of tourist crowds in the country, especially once the cooler winter months hit. However, not all hotels are made the same. Due to this, you need to know how to spot some of the very best Miami hotels that are able to give you some nice perks you just are not going to find anywhere else.
The Angler's Boutique Resort - South Beach
While there are massive hotels taking up several blocks throughout the city, some of the very best hotels are boutique offerings. These hotels have more unique styling and are more likely to reminisce towards the yesteryears of Miami. The Angler Boutique has been around since the 1930s and showcases a grilling Mediterranean architectural style with dark-wood interiors throughout all of the rooms. It is also a bit away from the oversized hotels in South Beach, so you can enjoy your time a little more, all while having a completely unique and original hotel.
Eden Roc Resort - South Beach
If you are more inclined to the larger hotels though, you do receive some nice perks with it, including more restaurant and bar options right in the heart of the hotel. At the Eden Roc Resort, this is all true as it recently went through a $200 million renovation. Now, it has several new restaurants, a beautiful infinity pool (with a waterfall bar) and a spa built underneath the hotel. Everything you could ever want is located right in this hotel. The only problem is you might not ever want to leave.
Fountainebleau- South Beach
While the $200 million renovation might be nice for Eden Rock, it has nothing on the Fontainebleau, which completed a $1 billion renovation in 2008. Here, everything seems to be over the top, and there is a true 1950s Miami flare to the entire construction of the building. Of course, your room is to be unlike anything else (even though there are more than 1,500 rooms in the hotel). Each room comes with its own 20 inch MacPro, not to mention there are 11 different restaurants located throughout the hotel and a 30,000 square foot night club. If you are looking to party it up, Fountainbleau could be the hotel for you, as it was for James Bond in the movie Goldfinger.
Mandarin Oriental - Downtown
If you have ever stayed at a Mandarin Oriental hotel before, then you know what you are in for. This is one of the classiest chain hotels out there. While there are only a few dozen offerings throughout the world, the Mandarin Oriental is located right on the Biscayne Bay, which gives you views of both beautiful downtown Miami and the bay as well. Plus, you have your own cabanas right on the water and less traffic than what you would in South Beach.
