Popular Attractions in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, commonly known as “Sin City,” features a wide array of attractions and entertainment options. While gambling may be the city’s most famous form of entertainment, Las Vegas also contains a full range of museums, amusement parks, spectacular live shows and outdoor adventures. Grownups can have a good time here, but if you plan to bring the kids, they will find plenty to enjoy as well.

Fun on the Strip

Most visitors to Las Vegas spend at least some time on the downtown strip. Spectacular shows, opulent casinos, world-famous restaurants and more line the Las Vegas strip. Museums in this area include the intriguing Mob Museum and the Pinball Hall of Fame. World-famous attractions here include the Bellagio Fountains, which dance to music in regularly scheduled shows from 3:00 in the afternoon until midnight.

Those wishing to see a great show should plan to visit The Mirage. Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat features spectacular animal exhibits and shows for the entire family. Musicians and world-class comedians keep crowds entertained throughout the year at The Mirage.

Other amazing shows play along the strip. Las Vegas is home to Cirque du Soliel. Quality entertainment regularly awes visitors to Caesar’s Palace and The Venetian. Circus Circus contains more fun-filled activities for the entire family than can ever be experienced in a single visit.

Away from the City Center

Although there’s plenty of fun to be had on the strip, other parts of Las Vegas feature attractions worthy of mentioning. The Neon Museum, one mile off the strip, features the city’s history in neon signs. Local color and plenty of modern neon can be found in the Fremont East District, along with a few fun dives and local eateries.

Exploring the Desert

Some of the most stunning sites in the Las Vegas area are located outside the city. It can be easy to forget that this booming metropolis lies at the heart of the Mojave Desert. Pink Jeep Tours will pick guests up from their Las Vegas hotels and provide comfortable guided tours of the region. Several other tours can be booked. Adventures in kayaking, cycling and even skiing are available to those who enjoy action-packed tourism. Helicopter tours of the region feature breathtaking views of the Mojave, Red Rock Canyon and even the Grand Canyon.

Las Vegas provides a wider variety of activities and attractions than the majority of vacation destinations. People of all ages come here and find something to enjoy. Whether they like history, nature, cultural events or partying into the wee hours of the morning, the guests of this oasis in the desert find fun-filled relaxation and adventure wherever they turn.
