Luxor Las Vegas

The spectacular Luxor Hotel and Casino is located less than two miles from McCarren International Airport. This exquisite hotel is designed in the shape of a huge blue Egyptian pyramid with two additional towers. The entrance of the Luxor is marked with a 140-foot obelisk and a 110-foot tall re-creation of The Great Sphinx of Giza.

The Luxor is lauded as one of the most recognizable hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. It has a fascinating feature called the Luxor Sky Beam at the tip of the pyramid that shoots a spotlight capable of 42.3 billion-candlepower straight up into the sky. This beam of light is now an FAA designated navigational landmark for aviators and can be seen several hundred miles away on a clear night by airplanes over Los Angeles, California. It has been declared to be the brightest light on planet earth. The Luxor has been awarded a four-key rating from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program.

The Luxor is owned by MGM Resorts International. This magnificent hotel and casino opened October 15, 1993, after one year of construction, and has had several renovations. It is the second largest hotel on the Las Vegas strip with 30 stories; and 4,407 suites and rooms including suites in the 22-story towers.

Pyramid suites are available with 590 to 800 square feet. Suites and rooms are furnished with king and queen-sized beds; cribs and rollaway beds are also available. The rooms have free high-speed internet; flat-screen TVs with cable and pay-per-view movies; and telephones with voicemail. The rooms also have large bathrooms that are stocked with premium quality toiletries.

The Luxor has over 120,000 square-feet of casino space with over 2,000 slot machines and 87 table games. Guests and visitors can choose to dine at a wide variety of internationally themed restaurants including: The Pyramid Cafe, Tenders Steakhouse, T&T's tacos and tequila, The Backstage Deli, the Ri Ra Irish Pub, Blizz Frozen Yogurt and Desserts, Slice of Vegas Pizza, the More Buffet, The Burger Bar, and lots more.

The Luxor has an on-site swimming pool that is split into four large sections. This pool totals 19,000 square feet with 125,650 square feet of deck-space. There is also an on-site fitness center; a spa and salon; and banquet facilities. The Luxor offers concierge service that will assist with wedding and celebration arrangements; make reservations for dining and shows; as well as golfing reservations at three nearby golf courses.

Speaking of weddings, the Luxor has five wedding venues from unique to more traditional. The Chapel at Luxor features elegant European architecture while the Titanic and Pyramid/Sphinx will give your Las Vegas wedding photos a dramatic backdrop. Wedding packages include floral credits, photography services, limo rides, in-house planning professionals, and specialty room options.

The Luxor offers on-site shopping at a variety of venues including: LX Logo, the Luxor Pool Store, Relics, Essentials 24/7, Everything's $10.00 boutique, and Luxor show-themed stores Criss Angel Mindfreak, and Criss Angel Believe.

After Dark & After Hours

Permanent shows at the Luxor include: PRiSM Jabbawockeez, Criss Angel Believe, Carrot Top, and Menopause the Musical.

There are several nightclubs and lounges at the Luxor. The Noir Bar is an exclusive venue that is only available by reservation. The LAX is an extremely popular nightclub along with the Cathouse, Aurora, Liquidity, and Flight.
