O at the Bellagio

Since it opened in 1998, the Bellagio has been home to O by Cirque du Soleil. The 90-minute, water-themed spectacle takes place in, on, and above a 1.5 million gallon pool. The show is held in a custom-designed theater that seats 1,800 people and offers two performances per night. If you're interested in learning more about this unique Las Vegas experience, we cover all the highlights.

Details of the Show

While O has no true conventional plot, the story of a young Sicilian boy named Philomen who chases a beautiful, fragile girl named Aurora to the magical realm of O serves as the backdrop for the performance. Along the way, Philomen meets the old guardian of the theater, Le Vieux, a cross-dressing dancer named Le Travesti, a pyromaniac named L'Allume, and other characters. O features 85 performers and eleven acts, which incorporate synchronized swimming, trapeze, fire, contortion, clowns, high diving, and much more.

Pricing and Audience Experience

Performances of O are held at 7:30 and 10:00 p.m., and traditional seating is from $109 to $180. Discounts are available online, and half price, same-day tickets are available at the eight Tix4Tonight locations around the Strip. Though the performers never intentionally splash the audience, the first three rows are designated the Splash Zone because there's a good chance you could get wet. VIP seating is available in the seven VIP suites, which resemble box seats at the opera. Each suite seats four people and comes with speakers and a sound-proof curtain. You can ask for champagne, wine, or truffles. Pricing is available from Cirque de Soleil over the phone.

Package Deals

You may be able to procure tickets to O through Las Vegas vacation packages, which often offer complimentary show tickets. The Bellagio also offers packages for around $215 a person that include dinner, show tickets, entry to a nightclub or bar, and a complimentary cocktail. These deals are for two of the casino's many restaurant options, Sensi or Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge, and for the clubs Hyde or Lily Bar & Lounge. Packages include Category B seats to O, which makes them a bargain.

The Bellagio is proud of its signature show, and O attracts return audiences every year. Horses, boats, and underwater technicians are included in the nightly performances. If you enjoy the show, consider taking a backstage tour, where you get a behind-the-scenes look at the costumes, training, and rehearsals that go into crafting this staple of the Las Vegas Strip.
