Things to Do in Vegas That Don’t Include Drinking and Gambling

We don't have anything against gambling and drinking, but variety is the spice of life! Plus, some people do prefer to avoid those activities. So, here are a few things you can do in Las Vegas that will keep you sober and your money in your pocket!

Visit The Neon Museum

A collection of Americana at its most deliciously kitschy, The Neon Museum is a fascinating destination. The museum holds an outdoor collection of neon signs from throughout Las Vegas's history, as well as an indoor gallery of other signs of artistic or historical significance. Because of the nature of the collection, the only tours available are guided. $18 gets you the hour-long day tour. The night tour, with restored and unrestored signs alike lighting the way, is $25.

Vegas Memories

Take in a Show

Las Vegas is all about spectacle! Cirque du Soleil runs no fewer than eight shows up and down the strip, and Blue Man Group has a residency here. Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, and other acts rotate in and out. That's not even counting the touring musicians who come through just like any other major city.

Find Your Inner Child at Dig This Las Vegas

If you've ever wanted to play "basketball" with an excavator, this is probably your best chance. Dig This describes itself as a "giant sandbox for grown-ups," but that sort of seems like an undersell. Said sandbox is full of bulldozers, excavators, and much more! Provided you're 14 or over and sober, you get 60-90 minutes to do several activities with an instructor on hand to help you. Sessions start at $169, and they've recently added smaller equipment so that kids 8-13 can join in the fun.

Dig This! Las Vegas sooooo fun!!

Sightsee for Free

Casinos are all about drawing people in and keeping them there as long as possible to squeeze every last cent out of them. Sometimes this involves sinister applications of psychology. Sometimes it just involves making big, attention-grabbing fixtures like the fountains at the Bellagio, the flamingos at the Flamingo, or the volcano at The Mirage. There's also Fremont Street; LED light shows, local bands, and free summer concerts is just the beginning.

Visit Exotics Racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Exotics Racing - Las Vegas, NV

Top Gear may have been canceled but not before injecting the world with a new enthusiasm for supercars. You can satisfy your need for speed at Exotics Racing. Based out of the Las Vegas Speedway, Exotics gives you the chance to get behind the wheel of cars like the new MacLaren 570s, the Audi R8, the Corvette Z06, and any number of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Porsches. Even if you understood none of that, you can still appreciate jumping in a car and going really fast!

Have a Blast at Adventuredome

Adventuredome is a 5-acre indoor amusement park. The world's largest indoor double-loop, double corkscrew roller coaster is here, as is a custom S&S coaster that's one of only two in the world. Of course, there are less intense rides, as well as a laser tag arena, an arcade, a climbing wall, a miniature golf course, and more!
